Game editor updates in progress

Another quick update on ongoing projects.

Of the current 76 games in the Wars Across the World series (yes, 76!), almost all are based on historical scenarios; only a very few are ahistorical or hypothetical.

Aside from Innsmouth 1928—based on the short story by H.P. Lovecraft (and available as a free download for owners of the base game!)—the other scenario is titled Switzerland 1937. It simulates a civil war in Switzerland, drawing from the unfinished and unpublished fictional work Eternal War. The setting is a Europe that never recovered from the Great War and the Crash of 1929.

Across most European countries, the general atmosphere borders on civil war. Various forms of radicalism, the erosion of democratic values, and violent riots have become commonplace. Emboldened by General Franco’s coup in Spain, anti-democratic forces within the staunchly conservative, Catholic Eidgenössischer Bund are plotting an uprising to transform Switzerland into a corporatist, autocratic state.

It is worth noting that this scenario was created by an independent author who used the game’s editor (Stratedit) to build the entire project from scratch.

The editor is currently undergoing updates but will soon be available again for anyone wishing to create the game of their dreams!
